Hospital The first patient in the hospital in Williamsburg was on 12 of October 1773 the hospital was built for mentially ill people it was made south on Francis street. The founder of the hospital was Governor Francis Fauquier he said he maid it for “persons who are so unhappy as to deprived of their reasons”. Francis and his family had to take care of the people in the hospital to practice Francis got some people who are ill in the public gaol.
